Wayne Julian McCarthy went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 29, at the Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio, from a long time illness, where he was survived by the late Clarance and Bessie McCarthy of Letart.

He survived by his wife, Gloria McCarthy of 52 years while they lived in Letart. He is also survived by his four sons, Terry (Linda) McCarthy of Point Pleasant, Greg (Judy) McCarthy of Middleport, Ohio; Mark (Tersa) McCarthy of Southside, Cody McCarthy of Letart; one daughter, Sherri (Mark) Miller of Leon; brothers, Dale (Sue) McCarthy of Point Pleasant, and Jason (Wanda) McCarthy of Gallipolis, Ohio; five sisters; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by several brothers.

He was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. He was in the U S Navy.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 1, at the Foglesong-Roush Funeral Home in Mason. Service will take place at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, at the Foglesong-Roush Funeral Home in Mason. Officiating will be Kenneth Bledsoe. Burial will follow in the Sunrise Cemetery in New Haven.
