Mary Rosa Keefer, 95, of Leon, passed away July 19, 2012, at her home.

She was born June 15, 1917, in Leon, a daughter of the late Dorsel E. and Estella Mae (Sayre) Wedge. Her husband, Albert Keefer; son, Larry Joe Keefer; brothers, Cecil Wedge, and Carl C. Wedge; sisters, Freda Batten and Blanche Bletner; and a grandson, Mark Morgan also preceded her in death.

She was a former cook at the Mountain Flower Elementary School, and a former 4-H leader. She was a member of the Mountain Flower Homemakers, the Creston Ladies Aid, and member of the Creston Church.

Survivors include her son and his wife, Dorsel and Charlotte Keefer of Leon; daughters, Carolyn Gaskins and Linda Pickrell of Wellington, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Marie Keefer of Leon; brother, Charles Wedge of Leon; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 22, 2012, at the Creston Church. Burial will follow in the Creston Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Saturday, at Casto Funeral Home, in Evans.
