Hazel L. Marcum, 90, of Ashton, went home to be with her Lord on June 29, 2012, with her loving family at her side at her home. She was born on September 1, 1921, in Mingo County, a daughter to the late Joe Brewer and Virgie Brewer. She was a retired L.P.N. from Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant.
She is preceded in death besides her parents, by husband, Ked Marcum Sr.; son, Thomas Lee Marcum; and one grandson, Wayne Edgar Marcum.
She is survived by sons, Ked (Faye) Marcum of Glenwood, and Wade H. (Edith Faye) Marcum of Dunlow; daughters, Grethel Harris of Madisonville, Ky., Jewell G. Marcum of Fla., and Brenda G. Andrews of Catlettsburg, Ky.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012, at the Deal Funeral Home, with Rev. Tom Marcum officiating. Burial will be in the Marcum Family Cemetery, Tick Ridge, Wayne County.
