Leslie “Silford” Keyser, 68, of Gallipolis Ferry, went home to be with the Lord on July 4, 2012, at his home with his family at his side. He was born February 11, 1944, in Mingo County, a son to the late Wilson Keyser and Causby Dalton Keyser. He was a laborer for Local #543 of Huntington, as well as a former Pastor at Pleasant Ridge Church in Gallipolis Ferry.

He is preceded in death besides his parents, by his wife, Phyllis Jean Keyser; two daughters, Mary Beth Browning and Rhoda Dalton Keyser; and two brothers.

He is survived by two sons, Larry “Lee” (Juanita) Keyser of Gallipolis Ferry, and Orvil (Annette) Keyser of N.C.; grandchildren, Julie Moore, Jamie Lee Keyser, Skylar Keyser, Leai Keyser; and two great-grandchildren, Jessica Rose Moore, and Lillian Moore, two brothers, Wayne Keyser of Madison, and Ezra Keyser of Harts.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2012, at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Marshall Bonecutter officiating. Burial will follow in the Dalton - Keyser Family Cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry. Friends may visit the family from noon until 2 p.m., prior to the service on Sunday.
