Hazel L. Marcum, 90, of Ashton, W.Va., went home to be with her Lord, at her home on Friday, June 29, 2012 with her family at her side.
She was born Sept. 1, 1921, in Mingo County, W.Va., a daughter to the late Joe and Virgie Marcum Brewer. She was an Retired L.P.N. from Pleasant Valley Hospital. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister as well as a loving person to all who knew her.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ked Marcum, Sr. and one son, Thomas Lee Marcum.
She leaves behind her children, Ked and Faye Marcum of Glenwood, Wade H. and Edith Faye Marcum of Dunlow, W.Va., Grethel Harris of Madisonville Ky., Janet G. Marcum of Madisonville, Ky., and Brenda G. Andrews of Catlettsburg, Ky.; also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Hazel will be held at 7 p.m., on Friday July 6, 2012, at Deal Funeral Home, with Rev. Tom Marcum officiating. Burial will be in the Marcum Family Cemetery on Saturday, July 7, 2012. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.
