W.Va. State Police

The Mason County Detachment of the West Virginia State Police reports the following arrests and traffic accident: Barry G. Thompson, 49, Leon, arrested on warrant out of Jackson County for violation of DVP, times four, arrested by Cpl. J.M. Finnicum. James P. Warden, 20, Milton, DUI first offense, underage drinking, transported to Western Regional Jail by Trooper T.V. Hughes. Timothy J. Gibbs, 34, Mason, DUI, transported to Western Regional Jail, arrested by Trooper Hughes. Jerry K. Hoschar, 34, Hartford, brandishing, released on $1,000 personal recognizance bond, arrested by Trooper Hughes.

Jeremy L. Mounts, 22, Point Pleasant, was cited for expired MVI sticker, expired registration, no insurance and no operator’s license after a one-vehicle accident in which he was driving a 2004 Ford Ranger. According to the Mason County Detachment, Mounts was traveling on W.Va. 2 and when turning on to Greer Rd., he lost control of the truck, hit a utility pole and ran over an embankment. A passenger, Brittany S. Mullins, 22, was injured and transported by Mason County EMS for treatment of her injuries.
