Fay A. Russell went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Abbyshire Place in Gallipolis, Ohio, after a short illness. She was born in on October 10, 1931, in Mason, to the late Luther Otto and Blanche May Parsons Tucker. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mason United Methodist Church in Mason for 60 + years and a volunteer of the food pantry.
She is preceded by her late husband, Donald O. (Jiggy) Russell I of 57 years; and sisters, June VanMatre and Nina Stump.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Russell of Mason; son, Donald (Tammy) Russell II of Lenoir, N.C.; five grandchildren, Joshua (Casey) Russell of Kaukauna Wis., Desiree Purley of Albuquerque, N.M., Amber Russell of Albuquerque, N.M., Justin Russell of Boone, N.C., Mason Russell of Jacksonville, N.C.; eight great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild; sister, Wanda (John) Dickson, Lancaster, Ohio; brothers, Luther (Shirley) Tucker, Mason, Ray “Red” (Janie) Tucker, Mason.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at the Mason United Methodist Church, in Mason. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at the church, with Scott Knowlton officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Mason United Methodist Church.
