Velma K. Wood, 62, went to be with the Lord on Thursday June 21, 2012 at Pleasant Valley Hospital.

She was born April 25, 1950 in Point Pleasant, W.Va. She was a lifetime member of the True Gospel Church.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Rodney Wood; four brothers, Robert Willet of Lakin, W.Va., Larry (Linda) Willet of Point Pleasant, Charles Willet of New Haven, W.Va.,Virgil (Sharon) Willet of Robertsburg W.Va., Clifford (Ruth Ann) Willet of Gallipolis, Ohio; sisters, Freda ( Donald) Roach and Evelyn (Willie) Lane, all of Hartford, W.Va., Joann (Clyde) Cunningham of Letart, W.Va.; sister-in-law, Mary Louise Willet of Point Pleasant.

She was proceeded in death by four brothers, Carl, Fred, Ray and Raymond Willet and sister, Mary Ann Stewart.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, June 23 at Foglesong Roush Funeral Home, Mason. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Sunday, June 24 at the funeral home with Rev. Donald Roach officiating. Burial will be in Zerkle Cemetery.
