Having worked in Point Pleasant for 30 years, I consider it a second home even though I live in Huntington. Recently, my daughter Alexis Donahoe and her figure skating pairs partner, JD Rappold, skated at Nationals and finished 10th in the Novice Division. They had a wonderful experience and gained knowledge to help them improve in further competitions.
Alexis has figure skated since she was five years old, and many of my customers in Point Pleasant have followed her skating career for all those years. Prior to the competition, many in the Point Pleasant community reached out to cheer my daughter and JD on which meant so much to my family. When Alexis is skating, she feels proud to not only be representing Huntington, but also Point Pleasant.
