Mason County Sheriff’s Department
The Mason County Sheriff’s Department is reportedly searching for the mother of the two brothers who ran away from their Glenwood home on Monday evening. A Charleston media outlet is reporting Megan Hammack, 32, and an unidentified boyfriend who was also living in the home where a meth lab was later discovered are nowhere to be found.
Hammack reported her sons missing on Monday and after a massive search by local law enforcement, the two were found at a neighbor’s home after spending time in the woods near their Glenwood home. The two boys, ages 9 and 15, were taken into the custody of the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. The sheriff’s department reported its agency is conducting an investigation regarding the discovery of the meth lab and the findings would be given to the Mason County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for any possible further action.
The sheriff’s department also reports the following arrest: Charles Rife, 37, Gallipolis, Ohio, brandishing a deadly weapon, arrested on March 14 by Terry.
West Virginia State Police
The Mason County Detachment of the W.Va. State Police reports the following arrest: Gina L. Jones-Cox, 44, Cheshire, Ohio, embezzlement, arrested on March 14, released on $5,000 bond, investigated by Trooper S.C. Allen.
