West Virginia State Police
The Mason County Post of the West Virginia State Police reports the following arrest and traffic accidents: Randy L. Spurlock, 54, Hurricane, domestic assault, domestic battery, transported to Western Regional Jail, investigated by TFC A.B. Ward.
Clifford Morris, 26, West Columbia, was driving a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am on Sassafras Rd., West Columbia, when he allegedly ran off the edge of the road and struck a utility pole owned by American Electric Power in a single-vehicle crash. Morris was transported to Pleasant Valley Hospital for treatment of his injuries. There was no citation issued. Investigated by Trooper A.B. Wilson.
Kristina Marie Bennett Kirker, 31, Point Pleasnat, was cited for too past for road conditions, driving suspended, no insurance and improper registration when the Ford F-250 pickup she was driving west on W.Va. 2 in Point Pleasant was involved in a single-vehicle crash. Kirker allegedly went left of center, lost control of the truck, over corrected, went over a small embankment and the truck then overturned into a ditch. A 19-year old passenger was transported from the scene for treatment of their injuries. Cpl. J.M. Finnicum is investigating.
