Evelyn N. Lane of Point Pleasant, formerly of Ansted, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012, after a long illness. Evelyn was born October 11, 1924 in Ansted. She was a member of the Mt. Eary U. M. Church, in Ramsey. She was a former employee of the Fayette County Board of Education, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Rend and Lafalda Fox of Ansted; her husband, Ivan; her son, William; and her brother, James.

Surviving Evelyn are sons, Larry (Ruby) of Point Pleasant, Gary (Carolyn) of Heath, Ohio, Terry of Marissa, Ill., and Greg (Rhonda) of Canvas; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a brother, Charles (Josephine) of Point Pleasant.

As was Evelyn’s final request, she will be buried at the Fox Cemetery, Ramsey, next to her husband, Ivan. In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations to be made to the Hospice facility of your choice. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.
