Henry Alexander Kay, 77, of Southside, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at his home.

He was a graduate of the PPHS Class of 1952, a farmer and very active in the farming community. He was born, Aug. 10, 1934, in Southside, WV, to the late John A. and Clara (Yauger) Kay. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Kay.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda (Bowcott) Kay; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Howard Bechtle of Leon; a son, John H. Kay of Southside; two grandchildren, Jason and Malea Bechtle; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Judy Kay, Delbert and Mary Legue, Russell and Linda Bowcott, Larry and Karen Bowcott and Lorraine and Roy Sprague; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, with Rev. Bert Flora, officiating. Burial will follow in Suncrest Cemetery, Point Pleasant. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, 2011.
