He was a 1989 graduate of Point Pleasant High School and was employed as a Training Store Manager with Wendy’s International, Inc., and had formerly served as Leon Town Recorder. Darren was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church and will always be remembered for his gift of playing piano.
Born May 13, 1971 in Point Pleasant, he was the son of Darrell E. Buck and Dianne Buxton Buck of Leon. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clodus and Audren Buck, and Charles and Geraldine Buxton.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his sisters, Denise (Randall W.) Saunders of Crown City, Ohio, and Angie (Donnie) Young of Buffalo; nephew and niece, Howard and Amanda Young; and Darren’s very special extended family at Wendy’s International, Inc. along with his many church families and loving friends.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Dilap Niar for his compassion and excellent care. The family appreciated the above and beyond care received from all the staff with Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16 at Raynes Funeral Home Eleanor Chapel, located at 303 Ash Circle in Eleanor, with Rev. Matthew Dotson officiating. Burial will follow at Craig-Douglass Cemetery, located in Grimms Landing. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15 at Raynes Funeral Home Eleanor Chapel.
