Dwight Wayne Sayre, 59, of Evans, passed away Aug. 2, 2011, at his home, following a brief illness.

He was born May 14, 1952, in Evans, a son of Stella Mae (Click) Sayre of Evans, and the late Richard Sayre. His sister, Susie Matheny, also preceded him in death.

He was a supervisor for Kanawha Stone Company, of Nitro, with 31 years service. He was a Christian and enjoyed NASCAR.

In addition to his mother, other survivors include his wife of 36 years, Mylinda Darlene (Miller) Sayre; daughters, Brenda Dawn Sayre of Leon, and Amanda Sue Sayre of Evans; granddaughter, Mackenzie Paige Sayre; brothers, Oliver Allen Sayre of Point Pleasant, and Richard Royall Sayre of Leon; and sisters, Marie Withrow of Cross Lanes and Dorothy Grimm, of Letart.

Service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5 at Casto Funeral Home Chapel in Evans. Burial will follow in the Creston Cemetery in Evans. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
