POINT PLEASANT — AT&T Wireless is having trouble processing wireless 911 calls in the northern portion of Mason County.
According to R.C. Faulk, deputy director of Mason County 911, the problem is impacting the ability of residents to reach 911 emergency help. Faulk says AT&T Wireless is aware of the problem and does not have an estimated time of repair.
Faulk said anyone who needs to report an emergency in the affected areas should use a landline or send a text message to 911, along with the nature of the problem.
“Mason County 911 is fully functional as this is an issue for AT&T Wireless callers only,” Faulk said.
