The January term of the grand jury handed down 24 indictments this week.


POINT PLEASANT — The grand jury in Mason County met on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, handing down 24 indictments.

Those receiving indictments are to appear in the Circuit Court of Mason County at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 5.

Listed below are those who received indictments as reported by the office of Mason County Prosecuting Attorney R.F. Stein, Jr.

Devan A. Brumfield, 37, Ripley, driving under the influence, third or subsequent offense. Jessica D. Meredith, 31, Spencer, shoplifting, third or subsequent offense times two; obstructing an officer. Ricky A. Jeffers, 30, Pomeroy, Ohio, forgery; uttering; conspiracy times two. Anthony E. Stewart, 31, Middleport, Ohio, forgery; uttering, conspiracy times two. Brandon H. Whitehouse, 30, Ripley, entering without breaking times two; conspiracy times two; petit larceny times two. Daniel I. Rairden, 24, Ripley, entering without breaking times two; conspiracy times two; petit larceny times two. Carla J. Smith, 44, Leon, robbery in the second degree. Charles G. Rusk, 35, Point Pleasant, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver times two; prohibited person in possession of a firearm. Cameron S. Deal, 25, Glenwood, malicious assault; domestic battery.

Miller, 53, Point Pleasant, breaking and entering; grand larceny; conspiracy times two. James W. Miller, 57, Point Pleasant, breaking and entering; grand larceny; conspiracy times two. Jamie L. Jenkins, 46, Glenwood, access device fraud times 48. Jackie Smith, 55, Mason, sexual abuse in the first degree times two; sexual abuse by parent, guardian or custodian times two. James P. Warden, 24, Milton, grand larceny. Derrick M. Miller, 29, Leon, burglary, grand larceny.

Ronald E. Glenn, 35, Bidwell, Ohio, bringing into this state, property stolen in another state; destruction of property times two. Kayla M. Crank, 25, Southside, access device fraud times two; forgery; uttering. Corrina C. Bryant, 28, Point Pleasant, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Pedro Arellano, 20, West Columbia, delivery of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Donald W. Nichols, 47, LaBelle, Pa., operate or attempt to operate a clandestine drug laboratory.
