Painting the town for the second round


The Point Pleasant High School Big Blacks football team take on the James Monroe Mavericks in the second round of WVSSAC playoff action in Class AA at 7:30 p.m., Saturday night at PPJ/SHS. Prior to the game, the community is getting ready to show its team spirit with a community bonfire and pep rally as well as a sign painting party. The bonfire and pep rally are being held at 7 p.m., Friday at PPJ/SHS. A “Paint the Town Red and Black Party” will be held at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 16 at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home which is partnering with The Kitchen Table organization to host the event. Free refreshments will be served. Those attending are asked to bring their supplies for the “painting party.” Pictured is a scene from last week’s playoff game at PPHS.
