Honoring local veterans across Mason County


There were several events honoring veterans throughout Mason County this week. Pictured are scenes from programs celebrating local veterans from Point Pleasant Primary School, Beale Elementary and New Haven Elementary. Also pictured, members of the Smith-Capehart American Legion Post 140 of New Haven and Stewart-Johnson V.F.W. Post 9926 of Mason showed those attending the Veterans Day program at New Haven Elementary School the proper way to fold an American flag. Each of the 13 steps and what it signifies were announced as the flag was being folded. Members of the school choir can be seen in the background.
