A ‘mighty, mighty’ playoff season begins

With the dust on the general election now settling, it’s comforting to know there are some consistencies in life - like playoff season for the Point Pleasant Big Blacks football team. There will be a community bonfire and pep rally for the team at 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 10 at the high school next to the softball field. The Big Blacks, who had another undefeated regular season, will take on North Marion High School (6-4) in the opening round of playoff action in Class AA. Pictured are the Big Blacks taking the field for a game from earlier this season. Pre-sale game tickets will also be on sale Thursday, Nov. 10 from 5-7 p.m. in the commons area at the school. The actual game is at 7:30 p.m., this Friday at PPJ/SHS.
