STEWART, Ohio — Unfortunately for the Rebels, it was another three-set sweep on Monday night.
That’s because the young South Gallia High School volleyball team fell at Federal Hocking — losing 25-8, 25-20 and 25-22 in a Tri-Valley Conference Hocking Division tilt at McInturf Gymnasium in Stewart.
The loss leaves the Lady Rebels at 2-11 — and 2-9 in the TVC-Hocking Division.
In three of their last four TVC-Hocking matches, including at Belpre and at Waterford, the Lady Rebels have been swept in three games.
That’s sandwiched around a five-set win against Miller last Tuesday, as South Gallia has also swept Wahama for its only other victory.
Against Federal Hocking, Erin Evans amassed nine kills and an ace, and scored three service points along with Christine Griffith.
Sophomore middle hitter Rachal Colburn collected five kills, an ace and a block, while Taylor Burnette set for nine assists — and had three kills.
Olivia Hornsby had seven assists for the Lady Rebels as well.
