BIDWELL, Ohio — Another night, another Raiders victory.

South Gallia won the third quarter by a 11-8 margin, cutting the Raider lead to 37-33 with eight minutes to play.

However, SGHS was held to just two field goals and one free throw in the fourth quarter. River Valley surged for 13 points in the finale, sealing the 50-39 victory.

From the free throw line in the game, RVHS was 11-of-19 (57.9 percent) and SGHS was 8-of-10 (80 percent).

The Raider offense was led by senior Jarret McCarley with 15 points, combining five field goals and five free throws. Layne Fitch and Dustin Barber had nine points apiece in the win, with both players connecting on one three-pointer.

RVHS senior Kyle Coen contributed eight points to the River Valley cause, while Rory Twyman had five points, including three from beyond the arc. The Silver and Black scoring was rounded out by Matthew Mollohan with four points.

Hardy led the guests with 23 points, on six two-pointers, a pair of three-pointers and a 5-of-5 performance from the charity stripe. Eli Ellis scored six points for the Red and Gold, while Jared Burdette, Austin Stapleton and Bryceton Folden each had three points on a trifecta apiece.
