Meigs girls win quad match


POMEROY, Ohio — Amid a rainy and dreary Monday in Southeastern Ohio, the Meigs High School girls golf team captured a triangular match at Meigs County Golf Club.

The Lady Marauders shot a team total of 203, while Eastern amounted a 215 and Vinton County a 226.

The top four scores counted towards the team total, as Meigs sported six golfers, Eastern four and the Lady Vikings 11.

Outside of Vinton County’s top four, all of the other Vikings shot 61 or higher.

The Lady Marauders were paced by Lydia Edwards with a 47, as she shared match medalist honors with Kylee Tolliver of Eastern.

Caitlin Cotterill followed Edwards with a 49, while Meigs’ other two counting scores were Shalynn Mitchell with a 53 and Mikayla Radcliffe with a 54.

The Lady Marauders’ two non-counting cards were Kylee Robinson with a 55 and Shelby Whaley with a 59.

Besides Tolliver, Eastern’s other scores were Katelyn Hawk with a 50, Jasmine Brewer with a 56 and Autumn Honaker with a 62.

Vinton County’s counting cards were Belle Lambert with a 55, Olivia Caudill with a 56, Kendall Fee with a 57 and Alisha Keeney with a 58.
