HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Twice as nice.

The Point Pleasant earned its second straight shutout victory over host Huntington Saint Joseph on Thursday night following a 7-0 win in a non-conference match at Ritter Park in Cabell County.

The Black Knights (12-3) — who posted a 7-0 win over the Irish back on April 24 at The Courts in Mason County — surrendered only 11 total game in six matches, which also included a trio of 8-0 wins by the Red and Black.

PPHS also picked up a forfeit win in third doubles, allowing teammates Carson Chambers and Nick Newell to pick up an easy victory.

Bryce Tayengco had the toughest match of the night, but eventually earned an 8-5 win over Armaan Karimpour in first singles. Dylan Tayengco was an 8-0 winner over McKeon Reynolds in second singles as well.

Dawson Wilson netted an 8-1 victory over Isaiah Meade in third singles and Andrew McComas completed individual play with an 8-0 win over Zane Pinser in fourth singles.

The brothers Tayengco defeated Karimpour and Reynolds by an 8-5 count in first doubles. Wilson and McComas completed the sweep with an 8-0 victory over Meade and Pinser in second doubles.

The Black Knights complete regular season play Tuesday when they head back to Ritter Park for a non-conference match with Spring Valley at 4:30 p.m.
