With the holiday season approaching, New Haven residents have already begun to welcome back Rudolph and Frosty to Mason County. On Saturday, bystanders crowded to the streets for New Haven’s Christmas parade featuring several fire trucks from across the Bend Area, some local politicians on the final leg of their campaign, members of several local Girl Scout Troops and a local baseball team, as well as the big man himself, Santa Claus. Also among Saturday’s festivities was the New Haven Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary Christmas Craft Show at the fire station. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., customers filed in to peruse the selection of crafts and other items including candles, rugs, home interior items, wood crafts and dolls. Additional scenes from the parade and craft show appear inside today’s edition.
