Fatal accident

POINT PLEASANT — Stephen Dion Potts, 37, of Henderson, died on Nov. 10 as a result of injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle crash on Charleston Rd., according to the Mason County Sheriff’s Department. Potts was driving a 2001 Chevrolet pickup when he ran off the roadway and into a ditch, according to the sheriff’s department which was assisted by Mason County EMS and the Point Pleasant Fire Department on the scene. Potts’ obituary appeared in Tuesday’s Point Pleasant Register.

Accident with injury

POINT PLEASANT — A juvenile was injured and flown for treatment of their injuries after a traffic accident Monday afternoon. The accident occurred outside of the Point Pleasant city limits, a few miles out Sand Hill Rd. Some residents near the scene were reported to be without power after a utility pole was struck. The Mason County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the accident. No word on the driver’s condition and due to the driver being under 18, a name will not be released.
