Sheriff’s department

The Mason County Sheriff’s Department reports the following arrests: Megan L. Hammack, 32, Glenwood, no insurance, possession of controlled substance (heroin), expired registration, expired MVI sticker, no operator’s license, arrested by Cpl. Powell. Ronald E. Harris, 48, Leon, nighttime burglary, arrested by Deputy Gilley. Jason C. Ancell, 33, Clarksburg, fleeing vehicle with bodily injury, fleeing vehicle while DUI, arrested by Cpt. Stearns. James C. Eads, 25, Leon, possession of controlled substance, arrested by Cpl. Terry. Christopher L. Barker, 40, Glenwood, domestic battery, arrested by Cpl. Terry. Megan L. Hammack, 32, Glenwood, bailpiece, arrested by Cpl. Powell. Jaked R. McFann, 21, Glenwood, receiving and transferring stolen property, driving while suspended, no insurance, arrested by Cpl. Powell.

Circuit Court

The following cases were recently heard by Judge David W. Nibert in Mason County Circuit Court, according to the official court docket filed in the office of Circuit Clerk Bill Withers: State v. Shane A. Meadows, hearing date set 9:30 a.m., July 23. State v. Johnny S. Hall, plea agreement, hearing date 9:30 a.m., July 23. State v. Misty Dawn Litchfield, case dismissed, return bond. State v. Johnathan Beaver, bond reduced to $5,000, hearing at 9:30 a.m., July 23. State v. Lester L. Leonard, hearing date at 9:30 a.m., July 23. State v. Ronald Blanchard, hearing date at 9:30 a.m., July 23. State v. Megan L. Hammack, new trial date for 9:30 a.m., July 23. Powers v. Gilmore, hearing set 9:15 a.m., June 10. State v. David L. Darst, Jr., sentenced one to 10 years, consecutively, with the department of corrections. State v. Samantha Hale, bond set at $75,000. State v. Robin Zuransky, sentencing set 9:30 a.m., July 15.

Point Pleasant Police Department

The Point Pleasant Police Department recently submitted its monthly activity report for April as follows: 45 citations were issued; 11 misdemeanor arrests made; eight accident reports taken; 28 complaint reports taken. Transported to the Western Regional Jail by PPPD officers were: Shawn M. Bailey, petit larceny warrant. Clarence B. Pearson, domestic battery. Jeffrey A. Russell, domestic battery. James R. Williamson, violation of bond. Roxanne M. Russell, violation of domestic violence petition, bailpiece. Eric S. Greer, drive on suspended, third offense. Rick E. Miller, petit larceny warrant.
