Monday morning was the first day of school for most kids in Mason County and the unofficial end of summer. However, before lines started forming for school buses yesterday, several of these same kids attended the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church’s Street Carnival on Friday night to send summer out on a high note. Visitors were treated to free food, a free bounce (see adjacent photo) and free school supplies. The church has held the carnival for at least the past 10 years.
