POINT PLEASANT — This Sunday’s Battle Days Pageant not only celebrates local youth but provides for local youth by being the fundraiser for Mason County Toys for Kids Association.

The Battle Days Pageant starts at 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 30 at the Point Pleasant Junior/Senior High School Auditorium. Admission cost is $5.

According to Brandy Barkey Sweeney, pageant organizer and long-time member of Mason County Toys for Kids Association, proceeds from the pageant are the only fundraiser for the group which is in great need of donations this year. Organizers are hoping for a large turnout for the pageant in order to purchase Christmas gifts for as many less fortunate children as possible in Mason County. Barkey Sweeney said the number of children the organization helps increases every year.
