Circuit court

The following cases were recently heard by Judge Thomas C. Evans, III, in Mason County Circuit Court, according to the court docket filed in the office of Circuit Clerk Bill Withers: State v. William R. McDermitt, new trial date at 9 a.m., April 23. State v. Ricky Pickens, plea, sentencing at 10 a.m., May 13, bond reinstated.

The following cases were recently heard by Judge David W. Nibert in Mason County Circuit Court, according to the court docket filed in the office of Circuit Clerk Bill Withers: State v. Michelle Watkins, waived extradition from Lakin Correctional Facility. State v. Bettie C. Nester, waived extradition from Lakin Correctional Facility. State v. Brenton Glover, plea, sentencing at 9:30 a.m., April 11. State v. Jonathan Eatmon, bond set at $20,000, trial at 9:30 a.m., March 19, appointed Attorney Michael Shaw, Jr. State v. Kimberly D. McDonough, status and motion to modify bond, hearing set at 10 a.m., April 11. State v. Aaron DeWitt, hearing on probation revocation, defendant didn’t show and a capias warrant was issued. Matheny v. Connolly, motion for default judgment granted.

State v. Brad E. Johnson, extradition waived. State v. Teshell D. Bennett, extradition waived from Lakin Correctional Facility. State v. Jarred M. Bright, hearing set at 9:30 a.m., April 15. State v. Nikolas S. McGuire, sentenced to pay restitution and 18 months probation. State v. Clinton Weethee, probation reinstated, bond $15,000 and day report. State v. Gregory N. Richardson, forensic hearing continued to April 15. State v. Scott Ramey, status hearing, 9:30 a.m., April 15. State v. Daniel A. Cartwright, sentenced to 122 days in jail, pay restitution of $3,635. State v. Kenneth Greenlee, sentenced to probation, day report and pay costs.

State v. Bradley Siders, II, department of corrections for 60 days. State v. Amanda R. Zirkle, sentenced two years probation. State v. Robert Martin, reinstate home confinement and day report. State v. Roxanne Russell, sentencing at 9:30 a.m., May 2. State v. Tiffany Cordell, defendant did not show for hearing, capias warrant issued. State v. Johnathan Beaver, trial at 9:30 a.m., May 21. State v. Michael Adkins, hearing on revocation of probation heard, next hearing April 11. State v. Christopher M. VanMeter, plea, next hearing 9:30 a.m., April 21. State v. Amanda Martinez, reinstate home confinement. State v. Michelle L. Eads, parole granted.

Sheriff’s department

The Mason County Sheriff’s Department reports the following arrests: Taggart S. Wolfe, 49, Huntington, capias, arrested by Cpl. Powell. Travis J. Armsted, 22, Charleston, DUI, drive on DUI revoked, no insurance, arrested by Deputy McCormick, Sgt. Fruth.

Western Regional Jail intakes

The following have recently been arrested and transported to the Western Regional Jail by various Mason County law enforcement agencies: Dustin R. Craig, 23, conspiracy to commit a felony, nighttime burglary, petit larceny, booking date March 5. Bashiri D. McDaniel, 35, fugitive from justice, bond set at $100,000, booking date March 11.
