MASON COUNTY — The 67th Annual Dinner of the Mason County Chamber of Commerce has nearly arrived and will include a keynote address from Greenbrier Resort Owner Jim Justice.
On April 2 at the Point Pleasant Junior Senior High School, the night will begin with a reception sponsored by Peoples Bank from 6-6:45 p.m. The evening will continue with Justice’s address, followed by the awards ceremony, and then finally dinner at 8 p.m. The night will end with door prizes.
“We look forward to hearing his captivating talk regarding business in West Virginia and his formula for success,” said Chamber Executive Director Hilda Austin on Justice.
In addition to owning the Greenbrier Resort, Justice is also the founder of the PGA Golf tournament held there each July. He owns coals mines in Virginia, Kentucky and Virginia and his massive agricultural operations continue today under the parent James C. Justice Companies, Inc.
In addition, Justice also works to carry on his family’s tradition of being major supporters of youth programs in Southern West Virginia. He has coached basketball teams of all ages for 25 years and is currently the head girls’ basketball coach at Greenbrier East High School. The list of his many accomplishments and charitable endeavors are endless.
It was also stated that the awards ceremony will showcase businesses and individuals who have made positive contributions through community improvement during the past year.
