Suspects arraigned in homicide case

POMEROY — Three suspects in the stabbing death of a Meigs County man earlier this week were arraigned in Meigs County Court on Friday morning.

Ryan A. Cozart was charged with murder in the stabbing of Wallace Chafin at the Meigs Motel early Thursday morning.

Sara J. Craig and Ariel R. Smith were both charged with complicity to commit murder.

All three face are special category felonies which carry a maximum penalty of 15 years to life.

Bond for Cozart and Craig was sent at $1 million cash, while bond for Smith was set at $750,000.
