Arrests

The Mason County Detachment of the West Virginia State Police reports the following arrests: Ryan K. Stone, 26, Mason, arrested by Trooper S.C. Allen on March 27 for cultivation of marijuana, transported to Western Regional Jail. Wendell B. Derifield, 42, New Haven, arrested on March 27 by Trooper S.C. Allen, battery, released on $1,000 PR bond. Donald E. Stone, 47, Middleport, Ohio, arrested March 27 by Trooper A.B. Wilson, domestic battery warrant, transported to Western Regional Jail. Mary S. McChorter, 49, Point Pleasant, arrested on March 20 by TFC A.B. Ward, DUI with injury, transported to Western Regional Jail. Christopher J. Angel, 31, New Haven, arrested on April 1 by Trooper S.C. Allen, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, transported to Western Regional Jail.

Accidents

The Mason County Detachment of the W.Va. State Police reports the following traffic accidents: Angela Clonch, 44, Gallipolis, Ohio, was driving a 2007 Lincoln MKZ at the intersection of W.Va. 2 and Chestnut St. in Henderson when she attempted to make a right turn, allegedly failed to yield and struck a 2003 Chevy Cavalier driven by Paul W. Simpkins, 53, Gallipolis Ferry. No citation was issued and there were no injuries. Investigated by TFC A.B. Ward.

Joshua M. Broderick, 30, Pomeroy, Ohio, was driving a 2007 Ford cargo van belonging to A.B. Contracting on Ashton Upland Road near Rocky Fork Rd., went around a curve, lost control of the van, went over a small embankment and rolled the van on to its top. There were three passengers inside the van. There was no citation and no injuries. Investigated by TFC A.B. Ward.
