For their special activity during the “Week of the Young Child,” children at Magic Years Daycare spent Thursday morning delving into the world of arts and crafts. While Jersey Painer, McKynlee Gillie, Lola Tolliver, and Lilly Wray carefully painted their egg cartons red for their transformation into firetrucks, Madison Dewees, Gavin Barnett, Karsyn Lewis, and Caiden Potts in the Pre-K classroom dove in fingers first to make hand-prints and learn which new colors arise when different paints are mixed together. The “Week of the Young Child” began Monday morning with a county wide balloon launch and will come to a close with the “Big Truck Day,” from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, at the Mason County Career Center.
