POINT PLEASANT — Two men entered guilty pleas while one woman waived extradition during hearings in Mason County Circuit Court Friday.
David Lynn Darst of Mason entered a plea of guilty to two counts of breaking and entering before Judge David W. Nibert.
In May 2007, Darst was indicted by the grand jury on two counts breaking and entering and two counts petit larceny.
The charges stemmed from two incidents in December 2006 when Darst allegedly broke into Imperial Tire and Faith Baptist Church, both in Mason, and had apparently took money and perhaps other items from both establishments.
He was arrested by officers with the Mason Police Department on Dec. 26, 2006.
Darst faces 1-10 years for each count in a West Virginia penitentiary which could be served consecutively. He will be sentenced June 4.
• Nibert revoked the home confinement of Michael Allen Rucker of Leon who had violated the terms of his sentence.
In September 2005, Rucker was indicted by the grand jury on two counts of burglary, one count of petit larceny and grand larceny.
In 2007, he had entered a guilty plea to grand larceny and was sentenced to six months in the Anthony Youth Center. After completing the program he was placed on probation.
After violating the terms of his probation twice, Rucker was placed on home confinement in October 2008.
Nibert sentenced him to complete his sentence of 1-10 years in a West Virginia penitentiary with credit for time served.
• Eric Keith Dye entered a plea of guilty to petit larceny on an informational.
In December, Dye was arrested by the Mason County Sheriff’s Department after the manager of a convenience stored filed a complaint after it was discovered that $340 worth of cigarettes were missing from their inventory.
Dye has since made restitution to the victim.
He will be sentenced June 4.
• Michelle Shrader waived extradition back to Tazwell County, Va., where she will face charges of theft. Shrader is currently in the Lakin Correctional Facility for Women.
