The picnic shelter and tables were made possible by the Mason County Community Foundation Youth Fund and the Parkersburg’s Community Foundation grant of $5,700. The Point Pleasant Junior Women’s Club was given the grant to purchase the items for the school. The shelter will be used during recess and for classroom and after school activities. The MCCF Youth Fund is a permanently endowed fund that will be utilized each year to provide grants to local nonprofits for youth related programs and projects in Mason County.
