Dear Editor:
In response to Delegate Patti Shoen’s letter to the editor, with unemployment in West Virginia nearly nine percent (Mason County 13 percent) and a loss of over 23,000 jobs in the state since the beginning of 2009, I want to hear how our delegate plans to create jobs and bring development to Mason County.
Instead of a useless sermon about her Capitol experiences, I want to hear plans of tax reform, tort reform and jobs. Actions that will heal our broken economy, promote business and give me hope for jobs of substance and tenure.
Old rhetoric and side tracking the issues with idle chatter will no longer be enough. Now more than ever, I have realized that my vote is very important and those that we elect to serve in legislative positions have an effect on my life.
Doing nothing is no longer acceptable. I want performance and achievement from the person that represents my interest in the West Virginia Legislature.
