MASON — Christmas will be here before you know it and Bend Area Care is seeking help with its Christmas Donation Drive.

The Kids Helping Kids Toy Drive and Party is planned for Saturday at the park in Mason. In an effort to raise money and collect new, unwrapped toys, those who are organizing this event believe that many will attend and help out their community by participating.

If you are between the ages of zero and 100 and you have wheels ranging from a wagon to a bicycle, wheelchair to a motorcycle, then you are more than welcome to attend and ride.

To participate, you will need to get friends, family, businesses or anyone you know to donate money to sponsor you in the ride. You will also need to bring a new, unwrapped toy.

On the day of the event, bring your money, toy, and receipt of the purchased toy to the Mason Wal-Mart parking lot where registration is being held at noon.

After everyone has signed in, the ride will start around 1 p.m. and will go from the parking lot to the Mason Levy where the Party in the Park will be set up. There, vendors, live music, and games will be set up for the enjoyment of the riders and families.

The New Haven and Mason Police Departments will also be set up and doing free fingerprinting of children. If parents are interested in having this done, they need to bring with them a recent photo of their child.

Awards will be given in each age division and whoever raises the most money in each group will win a new bike.
