Ronnie L. (Ron) DeWeese, 55, of Leon, went to be with the Lord in the arms of angels, Friday, August 24, 2012, following a long illness.
Ron is preceded in death by his mother, Anna Mae (Smith) DeWeese; sister, Karen (DeWeese) Matheny; brother, Warren (Pudge) DeWeese; and his grandparents, Sumner and Gladys Smith, and Harry and Pearl DeWeese.
He is survived by his best friend and care giver, loving sister Donna (David) Warner; his father, Warren DeWeese; half sister, Angela Hatcher; his very special aunt, (Mother Dear) Viola (Toots) Stone. Also surviving are three children, Cathlena Fields of Fairplain, Michelle Craig of Leon, and Jessica Knaull of Point Pleasant; five grandchildren; several aunts and uncles, and nieces and nephews, Heather, Rachel, Kristen, C.J., Chad, Jared, Kaitlyn, and Jason Ray, along with many many friends that will deeply miss Ron.
Ron was a carpenter early in life. He was a member of God’s Will Tabernacle. He loved fishing from his pontoon boat and spending time and competing with friends at the Kanawha Valley Dragway.
Ronnie was a true joy to those around him and he will be greatly missed.
Visitation for Ron will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at the Crow-Hussell Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at the funeral home with burial at the Pine Grove Cemetery. Pastor Bob Patterson will officiate
