Pearl V. Cole, 72, of Point Pleasant, died Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
She was born March 12, 1940, in Point Pleasant, the daughter of the late Ronald Woomer and Mildred (Darst) Woomer. She was a member of the American Legion Post No. 23 Ladies Auxillary of Point Pleasant and a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Sargent Paul David Stafford; and one brother, William Woomer.
Pearl is survived my her loving husband of 42 years, Hollis H. Cole of Point Pleasant; two daughters, Rochelle Glassburn of Point Pleasant and Rebecca Stafford of Columbus, Ohio; one son, Guy William Cole of Point Pleasant; a special grandson, Guy William Cole Jr. of Point Pleasant; twelve grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; one sister, Lena McDermitt of Point Pleasant; two brothers, James Woomer of Henderson and Lewis Woomer (Bernice) of Florida.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Carl “Boxer” Swisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Letart. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2012, at the funeral home.
