“We have a great bunch of girls competing,” Sweemey said. “It seems as if every year, the contestants keep getting better and they work harder to win the titles.”
The Battle Days Pageant, which started on the small stage at the State Theatre and also saw winners crowned on the middle school stage, now has a wonderful home at the new auditorium. Sweeney always has a big production number featuring the contestants, and this year the audience will get a chance to see former queens who will also be included in the pageant program.
The pageant is the biggest fundraiser for Mason County Toys for Kids Association.
