NEW HAVEN — The Town of New Haven canceled their Council meeting on Tuesday, April 5, due to work schedule conflicts. It has been rescheduled for Monday, April 11, at 6 p.m. at City Hall.
Hunter Education classes scheduled
HENDERSON — A Hunter Education class will take place April 4-6 at the Henderson Community Center.
Classes will run from 6-9:30 p.m. each day. The 10-hour class is required by those born after Dec. 31, 1974, who wish to purchase a hunting license or stamps. The class is free, however seating is limited. To attend, participants must pre-register by calling 304-675-0871.

Seniors Against Investment Fraud presentation set
POINT PLEASANT — Dave Shelene, field representative for State Auditor Glen B. Gainer III, will host a Seniors Against Investment Fraud presentation on Tuesday, April 5 at the Gene Salem Senior Center.
The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. The presentation is part of Gainer’s “SAIF” program.
Free concert
POINT PLEASANT — A free concert featuring Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver will be held from 6-8 p.m., April 8, at the Lillian & Paul Wedge Auditorium at Point Pleasant Jr/Sr High School.
The event is sponsored by the Outdoor Youth Expo. Members of the Black Knights Marching Band will be selling concession.
Home Shopping Network Auction

FFA Farm Consignment Auction set
ASHTON — The Hannan High School FFA program will host a Farm Consignment Auction Saturday, April 9 at the school.
The auction will begin at 10 a.m. Consignments may be brought to the school on Friday, April 8 from 3:30 until dark and from 8 a.m. to the start of the sale on April 9. Auctioneers will be Eric Conrad and Joe Arrington.

Fair basket raffle
POINT PLEASANT — The Mason County Fair will be celebrating 50 years this August, and fair officials are proud to present the “Friendship” Basket as the 50th Anniversary Collector’s Basket.
The price is $55 each. A form is available at several locations including: Pleasant Valley Hospital - Heidi Wood; Mason County Courthouse - Traci Doolittle; Point Pleasant City Building - Brian Billings; and Wahama Jr/Sr High School - Curt McConihay.
