Lady Knights fall in sectional semifinal

RAVENSWOOD, W.Va. — The Point Pleasant Lady Knights soccer team saw their season come to an end on Tuesday evening with a sectional semifinal loss to state ranked Ravenswood.

The host Lady Red Devils won by a score of 4-0.

Ravenswood scored its first goal in the 12th minute of play, and extended the lead to 2-0 in the 35th minute.The Lady Red Devils added two more goals in the second half for the 4-0 win.

Point Pleasant had a shot attempt late in the first half by Ashtyn Wedge blocked by the Ravenswood goalkeeper.

Freshman goalkeeper Delaney Bronosky recorded 15 saves in the game for the Lady Knights.

Point Pleasant seniors playing for the final time were Amanda King, Meghann Bowles, Harlee Ziegler, Jennifer Westfall, and Liz Farley.
