Janet Virginia (McCoy) Wilson, 72, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 15, 2012, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 5, 1940, in Mason County, a daughter to the late Earl McCoy and Marie Tabit McCoy. She was a teacher who taught in Mason County for five years, as well as teaching for 15 years in Columbus, Ohio. She was also a lifelong member of Main Street Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death besides her parents, by sisters and brothers, Elizabeth (George) Flower, William (Anne) McCoy, Jeanne (Leonard) Miller, and Sheldon (Patricia) Hill; and mother-in-law, Melma Wison.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 and a half years, Roger McCoy; daughters, Charmaine (Michael) Gore of Southpoint, Ohio, Katherine (Tim) Bowers of Danville, Ky., and Elizabeth (Doug) Winegardner of Beaverdam, Va.; brothers and sister, James (Dorothy) McCoy, Thomas (Rose) McCoy, John McCoy, and Joyce (Larry) Eshanaur; grandchildren, Chelce Bowers, Tyler Bowers, Elaine Gore, Ryan and Griffin Winegardner; father-in-law, A.F. Wilson of Salisbury, Md.; brothers and sister-in-law, Richard (Patricia) Wilson of Bloomfield, Ill., and Stephen (Patricia) Wilson of Salisbury, Md., many much loved nieces and nephews, and precious great grand-nieces and nephews, and those who grew up calling her “Mommy Jan.”

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Main Street Baptist Church in Point Pleasant, with Dr. Richard Sargent officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant.

Friends may visit the family from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant. An online guest registry is available at www.dealfh.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wilson Memorial Youth Scholarship, c/o Main Street Baptist Church Trust Fund or, the Earl and Marie McCoy Memorial 4-H Camp Fund. Pallbearers will be: Michael Rorer, Doug Winegardner, Tim Bowers, Tyler Bowers, Joseph Kinnaird, and Patrick Hill.
