Glen Ray Gibson, 60, of Henderson went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009 at his home with his family at his side, after a long illness.

He was born June 27, 1949 to the late Orville and Nora Moore Gibson in Cabin Creek. He was a deckhand and a member of the Jackson Avenue Baptist Church in Point Pleasant.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ricky and David Gibson. Surviving is his wife, Maxine McCarty Warden Gibson of Henderson; grandson, Tyler Toles at home; daughters, Tina (Patrick) Hill, Cheryl (Ron) Glenn of Henderson; sons, Richard (Ruth) Warden of Point Pleasant, Eric (Mary) Warden of Irmo, S.C. and Danny (Valerie) Warden of Henderson; brothers: Wayne G. Gibson of Henderson, James (Shirley) Gibson of Romlas, Mich. and Eddie (Ellen) Gibson of S.C.; sister, Shirley Massey of Cleveland, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8 at Deal Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Nott officiating. Burial will follow at Sycamore Valley Family Cemetery on Three Mile Road in Henderson.
