Accident reported
GALLIPOLIS FERRY — Two vehicles and a motorcycle were involved in a collision Friday afternoon in Gallipolis Ferry on W.Va. 2 near the ICL plant. No details or names have been released regarding the accident but two patients were flown from the scene by air medical helicopter to receive treatment for their injuries.
Homes without electricity
MASON COUNTY — As of 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon, Appalachian Electric Power was reporting 5,842 homes were without electricity in Mason County, out of 14,866 AEP customers. AEP also reported, as of 4 p.m. Friday, 125,914 customers in West Virginia were without power out of 439,213 total customers in the state. The latest, tentative AEP power restoration date for Mason County is Saturday, July 7.

MASON COUNTY — The following death certificates were recently filed in the office of Mason County Clerk Diana Cromley: Annabel L. Hagens, 90, Point Pleasant; James A. Lawson, 41, Proctorville, Ohio.
