Emory R. Roush, 92, of Letart went to be with the Lord on Oct. 28, 2009 at Holzer Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 26, 1917 in Point Pleasant to the late Emery Curtis Roush and Vesta May (Ohlinger) Roush.

He was a farmer in the Lower Flat area from 1928-1942 and continued as owner of the West Creek Dairy Farm from 1942-1984. He was a member of the Vernon United Church in which he served as treasurer and Sunday School Superintendent for over 50 years. He also was awarded a 30 year perfect attendance pin and later the Church Fellowship Hall was named in his honor. He also was a member of Farm Bureau, Southern States Cooperative, Board of Trustees of Roush and Allied families Association of America, 1939 Mason County Potato King, 1935 graduate of Point Pleasant High School, singer in the Ray Roush Quartet and Vernon Quarter and past treasurer of the Union Campground Association.

Emory was preceeded in death by sisters, Mary Lucille Roush and Emogene Clark; and brothers, Raleigh Roush, Terry Roush and H. Allen Roush. He is survived by his wife of 47 years whom he married on Oct. 12, 1962, Annabelle (Lieving) Roush of Letart; daughter, Roselyn Roush of Point Pleasant; nieces, Gloria Jean (Jim) Fullen of Hampton, Va., Carol Sue (Bill) Schuller of Morgantown, Barbara (Dwayne) Page of Bear Creak, Ala.; nephews, Terry Walter (Pat) Roush of Esmond, Ill., Dan (Becky) Roush of Malta, Ill., Milton Clark of Rockford, Ill., Norman (Jackie) Clark of Rockford, Ill.; and several great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31 at Foglesong Tucker Funeral Home. Service will be 1 p.m. at the Foglesong Tucker Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Suncrest Cemetery.
