David Wayne, 49, was born in Charleston, W.Va. David went to be with the Lord on July 7, 2012. He was preceded by his mother, Brenda Shaffer (Medori).
David is survived by his caring and loving father, Ronnie Shaffer, and Gidget of St. Albans, W.Va.; David’s two brothers, Scotty and Mike of Daytona Beach, Fla.; also several aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins, and a special uncle, Bob; and David’s companion of 21 years, Dee-Dee.
Though his smile is never gone and his hand we cannot touch, we still have so many memories of the one we loved so much. His memory is now our keepsake, which with we’ll never part. God has you in his keeping, we have you in our hearts, sadly missed, but never forgotten.
“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord,” 2 Corinthians 5:8. “The dust returns to Earth, the spirit returns to God who gave it,” Ecclesiastes 12:7.
