David A “Skip” Stewart, 58, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with the Lord at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, on October 29, 2012. He was born on August 11, 1954, a son to the late Frank Stewart Sr. and the late Emogene Scarberry Stewart. He was a carpenter, and a lifelong musician, and was a member of “Charlie Lilly and The Poorside Band.”

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his son, Frank (Erika) Stewart of Middleport, Ohio; grandson, Zachary Stewart; brothers, Samuel Stewart Jr. of Point Pleasant, Scott (Debbie) Stewart of Point Pleasant; and sister, Sue (Eric) Morris also of Point Pleasant.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2012, at the Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Carl Swisher officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant. Friends may visit the family from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday evening, October 3, 2012, at the funeral home.
