Caroline Sue (Shuler) Doss, 70, of Point Pleasant, peacefully went to be with her Lord, on Saturday evening, January 5, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her family. Sue was a homemaker and was a member of the First Church of God in Point Pleasant.

Sue was born on October 1, 1942, in Winfield, a daughter to the late Bart and Lucille (Whittington) Shuler Sparks. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Hesson.

Sue is survived by her loving husband, Bruce H. Doss; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda Martin, of Knoxville, Tenn., and Tim Martin, of Point Pleasant, Gina and Anthony Mullins, of Point Pleasant; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Melissa Doss, of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Crystal (Tommy) Mayes, Seth Gaskins (Chelsea Yates), Kendra Gaskins, Lacie Mullins, Joann Kminski; great-grandchildren, Tucker and Trenton Mayes, Aiden Potter and Ella Gaskins; brothers, William “Billy” Shuler, and Johnny Shuler, both of Point Pleasant and Kenny Shuler, of Barboursville; and sister, Edith Plants, of Point Pleasant.

Sue’s life will be celebrated at noon, Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at the First Church of God, in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Bob Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Union Cemetery, in Pliny. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church

Sue’s care has been entrusted to Crow-Hussell Funeral Home.
